Business Incentive Grant
Business retention and expansion is an important aspect to the growth of West, as is attracting new businesses to our community. As such, West EDC encourages our existing businesses to apply for same grant funds (BDG) that are available to attract new business prospects to West. If you are looking at a new business venture here or expanding your current operation, you should talk to us about how we can partner with you to help your business succeed.
Business Revitalization Grant
This grant program (BRG) is specifically for our existing businesses and commercial property owners. BRG can help fund almost any exterior improvements to commercial property in the City of West. The exterior improvements may be cosmetic to draw more customers to your establishment to exterior improvements to help your business operate more efficiently. Tell us your ideas!
Quality of Life Grant
The EDC offers assistance to support general community initiatives which otherwise may not be realized. Typically these grants can assist in economic benefit to the City while improving the general Quality of Life, although that is not a hard requirement. Past QoL Grants have assisted in new equipment for the West Rodeo, construction of restrooms at the kids’ ballfield, and a permanent pavilion at the Westfest grounds for attendee’s comfort.
State and Federal Grants
Besides local economic development incentives, grant funding sources may be available from the State of Texas and Federal agencies. West EDC is prepared to assist our local businesses and those planning to establish their business here by direction to these resources as well as assistance in the application process.
